Tonteri-Young says it helped when she stopped “obsessing” over her answers, or rather, how to define herself. “I was running into a lot of walls,” she recalls. “I would try on an identity like a costume and be like, ‘Is this who I am?’ and then it would feel wrong after a while and then I would switch it off and then that wouldn't feel right either.”

Kristina Tonteri-Young, our very ownn Sister Beatrice, answered a few of the OCS Newsletter’s questions through Cameo. We had the chance to ask her about the show, the campaign and the fandom and, this time around, we share her answers in writting and vido format.
To celebrate our girl, and to thank her for all the effort she puts into showing her appreciation for this fandom, we put together a brief KTY Special!
THE CAMPAIGN
OCS: What would you like to say to the Save Warrior Nun campaign?
KTY: I just want to give you guys an uplifting message and say that I fully believe that our power is undeniable. And all of the things that you guys have been doing, I respect and appreciate so much, and keep on going.
We have to keep the traction up. We’ve already achieved such incredible things, and you guys have [gotten us] in Time magazine, [we]’re in Time magazine. That’s awesome and I love you guys so much.
Take care of each other and no in-fighting. No fighting inside anything. Keep [being] respectful and loving and supportive because this is what this fandom is all about. Be there for each other and share this safe and loving space, where we can all fan girl.
OCS: Any inspirational note to the campaign?
KTY: Keep the momentum building. I think it’s only going to get intense from here. Awesome work everybody. Thank you so much for all of your efforts and I really appreciate it. I appreciate all of you.
TIMID MAGAZINE
On December 29th of 2022, after weeks of teasing, Timid Magazine release its interview with Kristina Tonteri-Young.
During the interview, KTY talked about her upbriging, challenging labels and finding beginnings in endings. Our very own sister Beatrice also talked about Warrior Nun, “a show that by her words “transcends genres” and parallels her own journey in discovering herself and breaking restrictions”.
Now Timid Magazine has officially started the pre-order for Issue 03: Beginnings starring Kristina Tonteri-Young.
