LETTER TO MY FELLOW HALO BEARERS (4)

EMPIRE MAGAZINE “WARRIOR NUN”

“and dig inside the epic fan campaign to bring back Warrior Nun. It’s so stacked, it’s practically a double album.”

Dear Halo Bearers,

It seems like a lifetime ago since we got the news that Warrior Nun had been canceled by Netflix. We did not take the news lying down. We were sad, then we were mad, and then we decided to fight. We stood up, louder than ever and kicked off the #SaveWarriorNun campaign. And in the space of about five months, we have gone from a hashtag on Twitter to the front cover of Empire magazine.

Empire magazine is one of the biggest movie magazines on this planet. They have a global reach and they are an authority in the entertainment scene. And we are not just on Empire magazine, we are on the front cover. Warrior Nun is listed with some of the most anticipated movies in the industry, such as Guardians of The Galaxy Volume 3, The Little Mermaid, Star Wars and Fast X. And this movement of ours put Warrior Nun on that front cover with these big names.

WE. DESERVE. THIS!

We have more than 12,000,000 tweets. We have set up TEN billboards across the USA, UK, Italy, and Brazil. So far, that makes three continents where we have set up billboards. We have gotten more than 120,000 signatures on our petition. We have had so many articles written about our movement, including articles from Forbes and Time Magazine. Warrior Nun is still the highest-rated show on Rotten Tomatoes. We have trended our phrases and hashtags so many times on Twitter. And all this was accomplished by you and I. Not some big company, not celebrities, not an organization or whatever. All this is what we, the fans, have accomplished. As Simon said, “they’ve developed a community that’s deeper and richer than just trying to save the show”. Yes, we have. And this community, this family, have done so much and will still do even more.

This is a product of all our wins. If we did not amass our millions of tweets, if we had no billboards, if we did not get all those signatures on the petition, if our movement was not as loud as it has been since day 1, Warrior Nun would not have been on Empire Magazine. As important as this Empire Magazine coverage is, it would not have been possible without all our other accomplishments. Every accomplishment, every win, every landmark, they all matter! We matter!

In my last message to the fandom, I said that everything we do here is important. In this message, I would like us to know that Warrior Nun being on Empire Magazine is because of everything we have done. All our efforts got us here. You and I put Warrior Nun on the pages of Empire Magazine. We got here because we refused to give up. We got here because we love this show too much to let it go. We got here because we have put in the work and are not stopping anytime soon. We got here because we are fighting for this show and for each other. We got here together.

Simon said: “I do know from (Productivity Media) the people who own the rights, that their intention is to find a way to keep going”. We are not in a fight that cannot be won. This fight can be won. And as long as there is something to fight for, we will keep fighting.

Getting on the front cover of Empire Magazine is something we should be proud of. And my fellow Halo Bearers, I am proud of all of you. I am proud of us. I am proud to be a part of this movement. I am proud of everything we have accomplished so far. I am proud of how hard we have fought and are still fighting.

We are running a marathon. We do not know the distance, neither do we know how many hurdles are in our way. But we have our goal and each other. As long as we have those, we will keep running and jumping over every hurdle in our way. And we will do this the same way we have gotten this far. Together!

Yours with pride,
