ONE BADASS HALOBEARER

At the beginning of February, a certain tweet caught our attention about admitting fear and how encouragement from fellow HaloBearers helped push one badass mama to take part in an activity that scared her. Not only did she share her adventure, and amazing photographs but she gave some thought-provoking advice that everyone can learn from. This is what our Warrior Nun fandom is about, and we are truly proud to present this story to you.

Name/Twitter Handle: Badass_Mama3 @doubletruble34

Some people asked why Badass_Mama so it’s actually a funny story- When my first son was born I was still working as a security manager for a hotel.. One day I had to come to work with him because there was some problem with his nanny. When I entered the hotel I was dressed in a suit with a gun, big sunglasses and a baby in my arms, my employees looked at me and one of them just laughed and said I want to be a badass mama like you when I grow up.. Since then the nickname has stuck with me. and when I joined the fandom with all the badass Beatrice and stuff it fit perfectly.

OCS: A little about yourself

I’m 34, married to a Very nice guy.. he is actually a big fan of the show. We watched both seasons together.

I have 3 children, My eldest son, 8 years old, is on the autistic spectrum, and twins - a 3-year-old boy and a girl.

I consider myself a collector of hobbies.. from photography, painting, building Lego models and 3D printing, diving of course, even fitness - I once ran a half marathon! And a variety of other things I've tried over the years..

OCS: How did you discover Warrior Nun?

I've been a fan since the first season, I just wasn't that active on social media.. After the second season came out, I decided to be a little more involved and opened a Twitter account..

OCS: What made you want to fight to save the show?

I don't know how to explain this feeling, but something in their story got into my heart and head and just hasn't come out since, also it is really good show, The dynamic between the actors, the amazing cinematography, the good direction, as if everything was right.. and of course the love story that didn't get its happy ending.. So there was definitely something to fight for.

OCS: your history with diving?

Well, I'm not a professional of course, my husband is a master diver and he regularly goes diving in special places.. So I decided to also do a beginner's course so that I could go diving with him from time to time. In the last time we dived I had an oxygen leak from the tank.. Now losing air at a depth of 25 meters in the middle of The sea is no joke and it really stressed me out.. In the end they helped me get up quickly above the water but it left me with fear, and since then I haven't tried diving again..

OCS: Can you go into the story of the February tweet and how the fandom helped?

So basically when we went on vacation I shared with some close friends from this fandom about the activities we do and what we eat and what we bought and some other stuff.. and when my husband decided he was going to diving with the new camera we bought I felt like I really wanted too but I was looking for excuses not to go.. so when they asked me why not? I just came up with different reasons.. like the water is cold because it's still winter, or that I'm tired and I want to go shopping instead , Really a million silly reasons. and my friends just found a solution for every reason I came up with.. they even checked the sea temperature for me To make sure it's not really cold. They were really amazing and encouraged me to use this free time as much as possible, and that I will regret it if I don't try again.. sometimes you don't need too much, just a little push and the rest will flow..

OCS: Who in the Warrior nun fandom was your closest cheerleaders?

Our amazing Detective @DesiraeC93 and the lovely @LisaIsOnTwitta And two more people who asked to remain in the shadows.

OCS: Do you take pictures professionally because the pictures you shared were amazing?

Thank you 🙏🏼 I used to be a professional photographer..weddings and studio and stuff like that but after the kids born it was hard for me to do it full time so for now i enjoy it as a hobby..

OCS: Any advice to offer other HaloBearer parents?

I’m not the perfect mother I don’t think there is such a thing but I’m always happy to offer some good advices that other parents gave me.

First of all love - This is the oxygen our children breathe. We projected it towards them in all ways: in actions, in words and in contact so just show that to them!

The ability to say no! As a parent we don't want to give the child what he wants, but what he needs. we knows how to protect him from things that could harm him and be determined enough to say the magic word ‘no’ when necessary, even if the child gets upset about it.

Avoid comparisons - Every child is a whole world and has the special soul, talents and abilities he was born with. Do not compare him to his brother or sister nor to yourselves when you were his age.

And last thing!

With all the concern for the children, don't forget yourself. Children need parents full of life and joy. Find the things that give you strength and energy and invest in your personal and spiritual development and in what makes you feel good. you deserve it!

OCS: Any advice to offer other HaloBearer’s struggling with anxiety?

Don't do what I did! I tried to avoid the anxiety and actually that's how I made it grow and stay present.. instead of avoiding, try to face the anxiety face to face. If a certain situation scares you - take part in it instead of choosing to escape from it.

If you can't do it alone, find people who will be able to go through it with you or guide you through it.

OCS: Your future plans with diving?

I have already signed up for another course during the summer.. mainly to develop my underwater photography skills. It's another world that I would love to continue exploring and photographing
